Autopilot Computer

The Simrad AC12 and AC42 marine autopilot computers are the brains of the marine autopilot systems.  The computer is managed by the control unit mounted at the navigation station.  The computer processes data received from compatible marine electronics including GPS and wind instruments.  Commands are then sent to the autopilot drive unit to effect course corrections.  The result is smooth and accurate rudder control with minimal power consumption.
