Simrad GN33 Navigator
with a built in chart system is an advanced navigation and high performance positioning tool for the professional fleet, offering easy operation, large waypoint, route and tracking capacity.
The latest GPS technology and built-in differential receiver ensures optimum accuracy at all times. Two units can be connected as planning station and navigation station via a high speed data link.
DGPS accuracy
Built in two channel differential receiver and high performance GPS technology with parallel receiver and Kalman filtering ensures optimum position accuracy as well as stable speed and course data. The GN33 is also available without the differential receiver, ready to be interfaced to an external receiver.
Conversions
Present position can refer to any of 118 datums. Waypoints are automatically converted to match the selected datum. Ship and cursor position can also be converted to Loran or decca coordinates. Waypoints and routes Up to 35,000 waypoints can be stored in the memory. Reversible routes for complex navigational requirements with a mix of great circle and rhumb-line. Easy calculation of distances in a route, as well as ETA (estimated time of arrival) and required speed to make a given ETA.
Trackplotter
A total of 50,000 points can be recorded and displayed on the screen along with waypoints, routes and marks. Installation GN33 is splash proof (USC 46 CFR and IP55) and designed to be situated in the most adverse conditions. The electronics are protected in a rugged die cast aluminum cabinet with an impact resistant polycarbonate front.
Accessories for flush or bracket
mount are included as well as antenna, watertight plugs and cables. The built in relays for general alarms and missing position update ensures easy and time saving connection to external alarms.
Special features
Twin Stations With two GN33s onboard you not only have redundancy, but can have one at the chart table for planning and the other at the helm for navigating.
Waypoints and routes are transferred from planning to helm via high speed data link.
Interfacing
The flexible input and output ports provide compatible interfaces for NMEA 0183 equipment such as autopilot, radar, echosounder, chartplotter and performance instruments. Built in relays for general alarms and missing position update makes an easy installation.
